  Search tips
Basically, the shorter and more specific your search is, the better. So instead of searching for art by picasso, just enter picasso in the Search box.

Second, use the pull-down menu above the Search box to specify what you would like to search through:

  • Keywords — This is the most general search, and it will search through artist names, titles, and product descriptions for each word typed in the Search box. A broad search like this can be very useful, but you will have the best results if you limit your search to as few words as possible. For instance, searching for Wrigley Field will certainly turn up posters of the baseball park, but it will also turn up artwork by anyone with "field" in their name, artwork with the word "field" in the title, or any artwork showing a field. (Just typing wrigley would work best in this case.)

  • Titles — This will search only through titles, which is quicker than the broader keyword search. It's okay to use longer phrases for this type of search, but make sure your word order is correct. Typing lord of rings, for instance, will turn up nothing, whereas typing lord of the rings will turn up a number of items.

  • Artists — This will search through only artist names, which is quicker than the broader keyword search. Be aware that you can also click on the "artists" tab at the top of the page for a full, alpabetized list of our artists.

If you wish to search on something other than artists, titles, or keywords, click on Advanced Search. On this screen, you can search through prices, categories, and genres as well. An advanced search takes longer, but it can help you narrow things down if, for instance, you don't want to spend more than $30 on an Art Nouveau print by Alphonse Mucha.

Lastly, make sure that your search terms are spelled correctly to ensure the best results. Everyone makes typos from time to time, and our search engine isn't always smart enough to catch these. If you've read all the above and you're still having problems with your search, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help you find what you want.
